We welcome members, invited guests, faculty, postdocs, and students to participate in the Center for Advanced Non-Ferrous Structural Alloys (CANFSA) hybrid Spring IAB Meeting, which will be held April 21-24, 2025. CANFSA (www.canfsa.org) is a National Science Foundation (NSF) Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) at the Colorado School of Mines and Iowa State University. Our vision is to be the premier industry-university center for non-ferrous physical metallurgy by investigating industrially relevant processing-microstructure-property-performance relationships with state-of-the-art experimentation and modeling; connecting academia, government, and industry; training students and the next generation of non-ferrous physical metallurgists; and supporting students, faculty and curricula in physical metallurgy. Goals of this meeting include: communicating our current research progress, networking, providing a center status update, and brainstorming new project ideas.

• Thursday, April 25, 2025 (CANFSA business meeting in the morning, Transvalor hosting Tech Day in the afternoon and dinner in the evening)

• Monday Evening Social:  This is an optional social, depending upon when you arrive.

Travel Information

Fly into Denver International Airport. By car Golden is approximately 35 miles from the airport, about 40 mins without traffic.

• Uber/Lift/Taxi is about $60 each way.
• Rental cars are available at the airport.
• Regional Transportation District (RTD) offers a train from the Denver International Airport (DIA) to Jefferson County Government Center. The trip requires using the "A line" from DIA to Union Station (downtown Denver ) and then transferring to the "W line" which runs from Union Station to the Jefferson County Government Center (about 2 miles from Mines/Downtown Golden).
